The work "Linajes y Blasones de Galicia", by Father Crespo, where the heraldry and the history of the family name Tabeiros appears, is the most important treatise of the heraldry of Galicia (Spain), and was published three hundred years after the appearance of the posthumous "Nobiliario, Armas y Triunfos de Galicia", by Father Felipe de la Gandara. Its author Father Crespo Pozo, had for his investigations, vigils and costly walks that were rewarded with the kind collaboration of Nobles as the Dukes of Medinaceli facilitating the archive of the Grand Casa Marquesal de Camarasa, etc. All this resulted in a plurality of sources of consultation that make the scholarly work, encyclopedic and illustrative in Galician heraldry. This work collects, as we have already said, the history and heraldry of family Tabeiros so the Tabeiros or they are Galician or linked in some of their branches to Galicia.

One of the most distinctive qualities of heraldry is the use of a limited palette of colours and patterns, usually referred to as tinctures. These are divided into three categories, known as metals, colours, and furs.

Next we are going to see the meanings of three tinctures:

1) ARGENT (Silver): Purity, Integrity, Obedience, Firmness, Surveillance, Eloquence and Expiration.

2) AZURE: Blue color that symbolizes Justice, Zeal, Truth, Loyalty, Charity and Beauty.

3) PURPLE: Justice, Wit, Truth, Greatness, Wisdom and Love; those who wear this color are obliged to defend the Prince defending ecclesiastical people.

Next lets look at the characteristics of some figures that we can find in heraldry and crests:

* :

* EYE: The Eye is a symbol of Ingenuity and Capacity, if both are painted it symbolizes Vigilance and Care.

* SPARROWHAWK: The Sparrowhawk is a symbol of Cunning.

* FUSIL: The Fusil is a symbol of Righteousness, Prudence and Equity and of the conveniences achieved through these virtues; it serves as a hieroglyph for those who gathered many goods using lawful and upright means.

* CHEVRON: The Chevron symbolizes the boots and spurs, and for this reason it was granted as an adornment of the shield to the Knight who was wounded from the combat in his legs.

* TREE: The Tree is a symbol of Ancient and Clarified Nobility.

* THISTLE: The Thistle symbolizes in Heraldry a heart nobly humble, but so careful of its honor, that it defends with its sword the luster of its lineage.

* MULBERRY: The Mulberry symbolizes Prudence and Wisdom.
