The work "Linajes y Blasones de Galicia", by Father Crespo, where the heraldry and the history of the family name Junqueras appears, is the most important treatise of the heraldry of Galicia (Spain), and was published three hundred years after the appearance of the posthumous "Nobiliario, Armas y Triunfos de Galicia", by Father Felipe de la Gandara. Its author Father Crespo Pozo, had for his investigations, vigils and costly walks that were rewarded with the kind collaboration of Nobles as the Dukes of Medinaceli facilitating the archive of the Grand Casa Marquesal de Camarasa, etc. All this resulted in a plurality of sources of consultation that make the scholarly work, encyclopedic and illustrative in Galician heraldry. This work collects, as we have already said, the history and heraldry of family Junqueras so the Junqueras or they are Galician or linked in some of their branches to Galicia.

One of the most distinctive qualities of heraldry is the use of a limited palette of colours and patterns, usually referred to as tinctures. These are divided into three categories, known as metals, colours, and furs.

Next we are going to see the meanings of three tinctures:

1) GULES: Red color that symbolizes Strength, Victory, Daring and Highness.

2) OR (Gold): Nobility, Magnanimity, Wealth, Power, Light, Constancy and Wisdom.

3) AZURE: Blue color that symbolizes Justice, Zeal, Truth, Loyalty, Charity and Beauty.

Next lets look at the characteristics of some figures that we can find in heraldry and crests:

* DOG: The Dog is a symbol of Faithful Vassal.

* FIG: The Fig Tree or its leaves symbolize the State Benefactors.

* HORSE: The Horse is considered the symbol of war, representing Boldness and Speed in Action.

* FUSIL: The Fusil is a symbol of Righteousness, Prudence and Equity and of the conveniences achieved through these virtues; it serves as a hieroglyph for those who gathered many goods using lawful and upright means.

* CROSS: The Cross symbolizes the sword of the Knights, to whom this piece was granted when they returned from combat with their sword dyed in enemy blood. The Cross was also taken as a teaching by most of the Crusaders.

* SEA: The Sea symbolizes a raging and wrathful spirit that does not lose, however, the limits of the obedience that it owes to its sovereign.

* PANELA: The Panelas are figures similar to a heart and are a symbol of Vigilant Vassal.

* ANJOU: The Chief of Anjou, belonging to Italian heraldry, represents a political alliance with the Welf party (derived from Welf, Duke of Bavaria) who were loyal to the Pope.
